How to correctly select PP-R pipe fittings

Source: Date:2014-5-14
The performance of products produced using different brands of raw materials has certain differences. In addition, the quality of PP-R pipes produced by various manufacturers has a large gap. When using PP-R pipe, it must be inspected before installation, and it can be used only after it is qualified. The selected pipes and fittings should have a quality inspection report from the quality inspection department, which mainly inspects the following items:

1. Pipe appearance. The color of the pipe should be basically the same. The inner and outer surfaces should be smooth and flat. There should be no depressions, bubbles and other surface defects that affect performance. They should not contain visible impurities. The surface of the pipe should be smooth and flat. Impurities, severe shrinkage, uneven color, and discoloration.
   2. The opacity of pipes and fittings. Pipes and fittings shall be opaque.
   3. Pipe diameter and wall thickness of pipe fittings. According to national standards, pipes are divided into five series such as S5, S4, S3.2, and S2. The tube series S has a corresponding relationship with the nominal pressure. The tube specifications use the tube series S, the nominal outer diameter dn, and the nominal wall thickness en. The socket size of the pipe fitting and the corresponding nominal outer diameter.
   4. Physical and mechanical properties and chemical properties of pipes and fittings. Whether the hydrostatic test, the melt mass flow rate, the thermal stability test under the hydrostatic state, the longitudinal shrinkage of the pipe, and the simply supported beam impact test meet the national standards.
   5. Whether the sanitary performance of the pipe fittings meets the national standards.

  6. System suitability. After the pipe and tube are connected, they should pass two combined tests of 8760 hours of internal pressure and 5000 thermal cycles.
